Disney Hannah Montana MP3 Player Alarm Clock Review

My daughter received this for her birthday a few months ago. We have been trying to get it to work ever since. The only thing that works is the clock. The alarm does not go off with or without an MP3 player. We have tried three different brands of MP3 players...none worked. I wish we still had the reciept so we could return it. It is a worthless piece of junk!

I recently purchased this clock.It is a very attractive little clock and for this price you don't expect exceptionally high quality however; when I un packed it the hands were loose and it was impossible to set the clock.There was no return label or address so I had no idea how to mail it back.When I emailed the company as to my problem I was informed that sometimes these clock hands get loose in shipping and that the plastic front of the clock is easily removed, the hands can then be tightened and all will be well.Right..... I twisted and pryed and pulled and could not remove the plastic front under any circumstances. I did however, succeed in breaking the plastic ring surrounding the plastic cover. Even after this the cover would not come off.This is a cute clock but the workmanship is very bad.Don't waste your money.

Clock, RMR616HGA/BLRS-E Review

My experience with this product:

* User interface is not intuitive.Each time the battery ran down, the manual had to be studied to determine how to reset the product, which loses all memory of previous user preferences when batteries were changed.
* One of the side buttons completely failed, so I had to take the unit apart and manually "short" one of the switches to operate it.
* It frequently failed to detected the atomic clock wireless signal.
* The wireless connection to the separate temp sensor eventually failed completely.

When it worked, the form factor was very nice (low profile, reasonably easy to read).

I don't know what waked up the two grouchy reviewers here, but I woke up to a nice calming bell. I'm clearer when I start the day gently.

I have had three Zen Alarm Clocks for at least a dozen years, and I can not imagine waking up another way, except when I am naturally done sleeping.

I have the travel clock, too. The clocks eventually wear out, yes. They're not Rolexes. But I've gotten years of use before that happened. I have had no problems. Maybe I'll even get their doorbell and phone ringer -- it would probably bring another level of serenity.

That calming bell changes the whole atmosphere.This product is lovely. I've given a couple as gifts over the years, and my friends have been happy too.

I know no better way to start my days in such a kind, gentle way!

GPX CRCD-2806 Clock Radio and CD Player with AM/FM Radio and Alarm Review

I purchased this CD clock radio because I found it difficult to sort through all the mixed reviews on everything else.

On the whole, I am very happy with it.It is easy to use, has a dimmer so I can sleep and am not bothered by the display, and the CD seats securely so that it does not bounce around as they can sometimes do in these small, inexpensive devices.It woke me right on schedule and was easy to wake up to.

The only drawback, and I guess you can't get everything in a device in this price range, is that the sound quality, particularly at the low levels I often use in my bedroom, is quite airy sounding.

If you want good sound -- or you "want it all" -- this is not the device for you.If you want a workable and inexpensive CD clock radio, this is a good choice in my opinion.

Chass Home and Away Travel Alarm with Pouch Clock 80202 Review

There a lot to like about the Chass 80202 travel alarm clock.It's small - check the dimensions listed - but feels solid thanks to the quality metal case.The cover rotates away from the front and forms a stand.It doesn't protect the back of the clock when traveling, but the control wheels are deeply recessed and there's no danger of them being moved unless you mean to move them.There are button wheels to set the time and alarm time, and a slider switch to turn the alarm on and off.The smaller clock is set by a pull-out knob on the bottom edge of the case.There are separate batteries for each clock.

It looks great sitting on my night table and if I didn't need to tell the time it would get five stars, no question.Unfortunately, the designer chose silver hands on a silver face in a silver case.To distinguish these features under the best light I have to bob my head like a lizard on a hot rock, until the light catches the hands just right.The face of the main clock is also cluttered with four hands, where the second and minute hands are the same size, as are the hour and alarm hands (the latter is red but in the half light of morning that contrast is lost.)In normal use, which is staring at it out of one bleary eye and wondering if I'm late for the morning school run, by the time I know what time it is I'm already awake.

Also, there's no snooze function, and the alarm hand can only be wound anti-clockwise.If you wake up at slightly different times during the week you'll have to wind the hand all the way around the dial every few days.

This clock is like a ladies dress watch; it's stylish, well-made, and looks great.I regretted having to return it.It might be right for you, but if you need to know the time with clarity and minimum fuss then look at something else first.

This clock is junk. The picture is blurred and looks like it was over blown up to be put on the dial. Cheap plastic, cheap movement, the hands fall off if you lay the clock facedown to put the battery in. If you were paid to recieve this clock it still wouldnt be a good deal.

LCD Alarm Clock Review

I like using nap timer/alarm clocks because they are not electric.Also, you can set your own snooze time instead of the automatic times set for most alarm clocks.I have had Timex nap timers that are wonderful; however, I can no longer find them anywhere.I ended up seeing the Elgin nap timer and thought that I would give it a try.What I do like about the nap timer function is that when you set the amount of time you want to nap (I also use it when I do laundry) you can push the nap timer function and see how much time is left.What I don't like about it is the tiny "slide control" of the Snooze, Alarm On and Alarm Off.You need a strong fingernail to manuver it and you can forget about manuvering it with your fingertip. The "slide control" to set the alarm time, calendar or lock the times in place is the same, but their function can be set and left alone, for the most part. Another thing that I particularily did not like was that the shipping cost was 43% of the total cost of the product.That is a bit steep.

Recordable Picture Frame w/ Clock & Temperature Review

This is a great frame. I ordered one for my husband and one for my father. I recorded my daughter's voice saying "I Love You" as a father's day gift for both. Both loved them!! Grandpa can't get enough of hearing her little voice. The sound quality is good and the recording process is easy. The only reasons I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is the overall look of the frame, and I wish it had a button to lock the record button so the message couldn't be recorded over. It is very functional and not very fashionable looking. It is gray and I find it looks best on a desk at work or in a den...maybe not appropriate for a living room with other more fashionable frames.

Door Travel Alarm Review

I was surprised at how small this door alarm is when I got it. I just love it though.It's is small, but easy to handle and thus easy to take with me when I travel.

It's simply a doorstop and will react if it's plate is pressed down if the door opens on to it.The siren is loud enough to make a disturbance if it goes off.

I use it every night in my apartment and it gives me just one more way to feel safe.I have to pick it up every morning first things so I don't forget and open the door for someone and set it off.

It is small and light and my cat likes to play with it so I have to put it up on a counter during the day so she doesn't get it.If you odn't have a pet then you could leave it on the floor up against the wall and out of the way if you like.

It has a sensitivity setting so because of the risk of my cat getting it I have mine set on the least sensitive but I feel fine with that since I figure it will get plenty of pressure if someone actually opens the door on it.

Great product, I fully recommend it.

I've been wanting a travel clock that had a "always-on" night light and thought I had found a good one. When I got this product I check it out and was very happy with it until I tried the alarm. This was a fun and useful product until it broke (runs away, but stopped making any alarm sound).I was past the return period from the store where I bought it so I contacted Nanda for warranty service.And I contacted Nanda again.And I contacted Nanda again.I emailed them.I called them on the phone.I even wrote a letter (a real honest to goodness letter - you know, with a stamp).Every time I spoke to someone, they said they would have to get back in touch with me, but they never did.Always apologetic, but never solving the problem.It's too bad.They obviously are a small company and I was rooting for them.They don't seem to be run very well.Nanda, if you're listening, it's and I would still like a working Clocky.Nanda's customer support is awful. It's hard to recommend Clocky for this reason.

World Travel Alarm By Howard Miller Review

I've been selling travel alarms for 22 years.The turn-bezel world alarm clocks are simply the easiest to use.(And they are harder to find than when they were at their selling heyday in the mid-90s).

After looking around I bought this one.I do like the hourly chime - and the ease of use - and it's a loud but not shrill alarm.For the very hard of hearing it may not do.

The display is easy to see, but nothing special.Really - it's the ease of use for multi-time zone travel.

NAXA NX-162 Digital LED Projection Display Alarm Clock Radio Review

I was shopping for a projection clock for a while, reading reviews, etc. But then I got this one, which had no reviews. Why? - It was twice cheaper, and I assumed it couldn't be twice worse.
So far I haven't been mistaken. For $12 you get 2 clocks and an alarm radio. Not bad.
Notes:
1. Like many other projection clocks out there, the projection clock is independent from the one on the unit display, so you need to set both. It seems ridiculous, but could be a feature, if for some reason you need two different times set.
2. The projection clock is more flexible in settings. You can have 12 or 24-hour style of time display and have it alternate between time and date, if you'd like. Personally, I find alternation flashing annoying, and I don't really need to be reminded of the date every 3 seconds or so. The main unit clock only shows time and only 12 am/pm style.
3. The projection image is a little weak, but good for full darkness. You can't see it, if you have a night lamp on. But then there's the main unit screen. On the plus side, the image is not disturbingly bright at night.
4. Maybe it's my locality, but AM reception is way more clear than FM. I could not get any reasonable reception from FM at all.
5. There's a battery back up, and the projector image stays on constantly (or could be switched off entirely).
6. The setting of the time(s) is not very intuitive. I had to look at the instructions.
I haven't tried alarm.
In summary, this is a great deal for the money.

Projection Clock Review

If you require a dark room in which to sleep, forget this little clock. It's very proficient at projecting the time onto any surface, such as a wall or ceiling, but is so bright you need sunglasses in order to get to sleep. Very irritating, especially for a clock this expensive. Note to Brookstone: Design a dimmer switch, so the user can adjust the brightness!!
