It's very compact for travel which is nice but if you need an accurate alarm this is not the clock for you.I'm returning this item today because the alarm just doesn't function like it should.The alarm set dial on the face of the clock is in 10 minute increments.The alarm itself goes off plus or minus 7 or 8 minutes either way. One time it didn't go off at all.It's great for time, not so great for an alarm clock.
